April: Self Love; the basis of True Intimacy
In our time and age, "Hit and run" relationships have become common.
But at the same time there arises an undercurrent of feeling that something is
missing, a quality of intimacy. Intimacy is the willingness to expose our
deepest feelings and vulnerabilities, with the trust that the other person will
treat these with care. Ultimately, the willingness to take the risk of intimacy
has to be grounded in an inner strength that knows that even if the other
remains closed, even if that trust is betrayed, we will not suffer any permanent
damage. The key to being open to intimacy is knowing and trusting oneself as a
basis for trusting others. By using these creative visualization meditations we
will embark on a journey of deep self-discovery, getting to know every aspect of
our being and learning to love all of them.
May:
Meditation 24/7
Practices to enlighten every moment of the day. Rich moments in life
often slip by us because we're too distracted, fatigued or stressed out to enjoy
them. Instead of waiting in line somewhere and becoming annoyed by the delay,
imagine using the time to refresh yourself with a simple meditation. Meditation
is often mischaracterized as an ethereal state achieved only by monks and yogis
but its power and benefit is available to everybody. This workshop provides you
with simple techniques such as "Fill your cup", "Groom and Zoom" and "Road
Peace" to get the most out of your daily walk through life.
