Chi Kung, translates into "Energy Exercise". It is used in
Chinese health practices. The common goal of all Chi Kung
systems is to stimulate and balance the internal flow of Chi energy: This vital
life force is of central importance in Traditional Chinese Medicine and flows
through channels in the body which are called meridians in the West. The
unobstructed flow of Chi is a key factor to our health.
A blockage at any major point will lead to an overload of the energy system at
another location and consequently to a condition of uneasiness or disease. Such
blockages can be caused by a number of factors.
Familiar examples are: a mostly sedentary lifestyle, typical to office
jobs, which doesn't sufficiently stimulate the energy flow, a bad posture or a
high level of muscle tension, often caused by stress.
In China, the knowledge of Chi has been cultivated and refined over thousands of
years. This insight and wisdom is being applied since a long time to prevent
diseases and premature aging, to heal sicknesses, and in the martial arts.
Nowadays, because of the long history of Chi research and application, there are
many different Chi Kung styles and schools. However, all
of them share the same goals: to develop inner strength and energy and to open
and clear the channels through which the vital Chi force is flowing.
Being proficient in Chi Kung, will fill up your life force daily and prevent
health problems before they affect you. The benefits of regular practice are
manifold and have a profound effect on all areas of life.
The results are unmistakable
ʘ Strengthened immunity
ʘ Successful treatment of chronic illness
ʘ High levels of daily energy
ʘ The natural regeneration of the nervous system
Chi Kung workshops
The Chi Kung exercises outlined in these workshops (there are three levels
available) will enable you to exert the full capacity of your muscle networks
over long periods without exhausting your lungs. In fact, your breathing will
become even deeper and slower, generating a generous supply of oxygen to your
heart. At the same time, your pulse rate will rise, enabling your heart to carry
these high volumes of oxygen to your muscles and internal organs. Even though
you will be exercising yourself as never before, you will not be left gasping
grotesquely for air. You will be able to exercise without fighting against
yourself. Very few other forms of exercise stimulate, cleanse, and massage all
the body's internal systems in this way.

transmission, which is essential in energy work.

movements with specific sounds (mantras) designed to detoxify inner body organs
from stored negative emotions, which are harder to eliminate from chemical body
