Reflexology

What is reflexology

Foot-reflexology is based on the concept that body and soul are united harmoniously. Illness often originates from wrong thinking or wrong doing, by suppressing emotions or not working through them, so that gradually blockages may develop which interfere with the co-operation between the different organs and parts of the body. From the feet the body is divided into reflex-zones through which vital energy flows, linking all the organs within the zones. By working on the reflex-zones in the feet, impulses go to the corresponding organs so that blockages may be removed and energy may flow freely again. Harmony and co-operation between body and soul are restored in this way.

Foot-reflexology is the practice of stimulating areas of the feet that correspond to parts of the body with specific hand, thumb and finger techniques. This stimulation is believed to have a positive affect on a person’s health and well -being. It is not massage. We know that foot-reflexology is very relaxing, and periods of relaxation are important in our lives. The reflex of the foot-reflexology cleans the energy ways, so the self-healing system of your body starts to work and heals your self.

A professional course
The professional course of reflexology-therapist takes one year and contains three parts. The first part takes five lessons of three hours. The examinations are half year later, so is the next part of the course, which takes three lessons of three hours. The final examination is again half a year later. In the periods between the examinations, you have to practise a lot because you need the experience with different feet. After the last examination you may call yourself a professional certified foot-reflexology-therapist and you can start your own practise.
